TabTrade Overview - The Good and the Catch

The Broker — The Short Version

TabTrade.com opened in Q1 2026. Trading platform incorporated in Saint Lucia, licensed through Saint Lucia's FSRA. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, a well-known broker.

His background matters. It means the founder is not figuring it out from scratch. Does not guarantee anything. But better than someone with no brokerage experience.

TabTrade came out of the gate with execution through Equinix servers. Same facilities prime brokers run on. Usually a new brokerage leads with marketing and bonuses. TabTrade went the other way. Interesting choice.

Market coverage: FX, indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, stock CFDs, crypto, ETFs. A wide spread. For something this new, that coverage is broad.

The Software

They offer: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Two major platforms from one account. Many commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Getting both is useful. You are not locked into one.

MT5 is the default. Complete charts, EAs, huge user base. If you know MT4 or MT5 before, you know exactly what you are getting.

cTrader by Spotware is the cleaner option. Cleaner order book. More responsive charts. Native automated trading. A lot of traders like it better than MT5 once they try it.

Direct FIX connectivity is available for automated strategies but is only on the VIP account ($25,000 deposit). TradingView is apparently on the roadmap. That would round things out when it lands.

Costs

Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard. 1.0 pip spreads. Zero commission. Simple. $0 to start. Good for beginners.

Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 per side. All-in: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On majors, the actual interbank spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. So your actual cost per trade can be below 0.5 pips. That is cheap for an offshore broker. Most platforms that offer pricing like this require a minimum deposit. Tab Trade has no minimum.

VIP account. $25,000 deposit required. FIX connectivity, execution under 20ms, custom pricing. Not for most retail traders. Ignore this one unless you run serious volume.

Execution Speed

This is the thing Tab Trade separates from most new launches. Equinix LD4/LD5. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. Those are not marketing fluff. The average platform quote a much wider range.

Does this affect you? If you scalp, absolutely. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is catching the move or missing it. If you swing trade, it matters less. But the fact that they invested in proper execution. That says they are not cutting corners on the tech.

Pair that infrastructure with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and the overall offering makes sense. Hardly anyone at this price point run Equinix connectivity.

Regulation

Here is the detail that requires honesty. Tab Trade is regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No FCA. No government-backed safety net. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight is a problem for you, this broker is not for you. There are ASIC-licensed brokers out there.

But. The person running it spent years at BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The Equinix infrastructure is expensive. Dodgy operations do not bother with proper execution infrastructure. None of this guarantee anything. But be part of your assessment.

The trade-off: no FCA or ASIC safety net. What you get instead: high leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether this deal is worth it comes down to your priorities.

Welcome Offer

Tab Trade has bonus funds of up to two thousand dollars. Usual welcome offer. You deposit, TabTrade top up your balance. Usual conditions attached: turnover conditions before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Read the conditions before you deposit.

The full review, with regulation, withdrawals, pricing, and tab trade reviews the bonus terms, is at TradeTheDay.
